2008 is upon us (well another 7.5 hours for me anyways). Amazing how time flies. 2007 was an interesting year for me. I started it working for myself, then in Chicago, then back to Colorado and now in California. While I was back in Colorado I had a chance (a first) to go to the Mile High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway. While I was in the area, I got to meet a member of ours and shoot a lot of pictures of tw of his cars. You may recognize the car, as we featured it earlier this month as Santa was was working his magic on it.
Well, Starting 2008 with a very special COLLECTION of one of our Members. The photos I have are only of 2 of his cars (2 more in the Garage) and many photos of the awards he has won throughout his very successful life as a drag racer. I want to thank John for the time he spent showing me his cars and the time he spent talking to me about everything. I also want to apologize for not getting these up sooner. One thing is certain, he has got it figured out. Thanks again John!!!
I have no idea what 2008 has in store for myself or this site for that matter, but if it is anything like the end of 2007, I actually look forward to a new year. I hope that 2008 brings many great things for everyone and their families on this site. I want to thank everyone for making Colorado Muscle what it is and I hope that we can only continue to grow.
Well the year is almost over and the Holiday Season is upon us. My life has been all over the place and has actually landed me a job in the land of C.A.R.B. California isn't as bad as I thought (the brainwashing is working) and life is looking up. Still a ways to go, but in time it'll all work itself out. Enough with that...
I received a great photo this morning from one of our members. Impalasaurus Rex's 1966 Impala is getting serviced by Santa in the 'off season'.

John has quite the collection of Impalas, a collection anyone would be proud of. From all al us at Colorado Muscle here is wishing you a Happy Holiday, a Great new year and many more to come.

June's Ride of the Month -
Well we sort of hit a dry spell there for awhile. I was busy with life, work and everything else. The site sort of took a back burner there for a while...but I have to say we came back with a HIT!
Introducing Phil Freeberg's 1971 Camaro RS. Read more about it Here...

May Updates -
Not really much in the way of updates this month. I'm currently in Chicago on a 'trial basis' for a potential employeer that I have worked for since January of 2007. Things are going well, but very busy.
In regards to our Ride of the Month section, in the past I would contact a member, and another member for the future month. Last 2 months, I contacted a few members to get their cars showcased and everyone is busy this season trying to get their cars sorted out. It's understandable. I should have been on top of things better. Who knows what the future holds. Initially the idea was to feature 12 cars, and create a calendar for the new year.
There will be some changes soon. I'm uncertain when though. As time allows, that's all I know right now.
Hope everyone has a safe Summer, car cruises are popping up like mad. If you know of one, drop us an e-mail so we can post it on our calendar for all of our members to enjoy.

February's Ride of the Month
This month's car is ColoradoMuscle's badest car. Big Tire? Who needs it? Taking a 3575lb 1962 Chevy II on stock suspension to a best of 9.38 @ 145MPH is why this car is February's Ride of the Month. This little Chevy II has gone a best 60' of 1.36 and I wonder if that isn't with the back tires.

New Software -- 1/16/2007
With the new year comes changes, and the first change of the year will be upgraded software. I'll be upgrading the forum software, the gallery software as well as the time-slip database.
If you experience any issues on 1/16/2007 - 1/17/2007 (or later for that matter) please let us know so that we can resolve it. In the past, we've had great success upgrading software, and I see no problems upgrading to the latest, but just wanted to put this out there.
See ya Soon!!
Update 1/17/2007 - 2:17AM
Well we're up on the new version. A few snags, but working everything out. I believe the only things I have left are the Time Slip Database (ticket submitted) and the Gallery -- Uploading now.
I've gotta work in the morning, I'll check all this when I wake up before I head out. I should be back tomorrow afternoon and I'll be able to get the rest of this all tied up.
All in all, I'm happy so far! 2.2.1 looks like a great upgrade, with many feature enhancments, many I'm sure I don't know about.
Update 1/25/2007
I think all the issues have been resolved regarding the gallery, timeslip database and anything else I noticed when we went with the new software. Hope everyone enjoys the new look!

January's Ride of the Month
Well 2007 is here...Happy New Year, and to start the year off, I chose another A body from the General. Chevys will always have a place in my heart, but the BOP cars are just a little more classier.
January's Ride of The Month is Mike's 1972 Buick Skylark.
There's something to be said for a black car!! Not sure if I'd want the maintenance involved in owning one, but they look good!

December's Ride of the Month
Well in the past, we had the member's vote for the ride of the month. Not that I didn't like it, I figured I'd have some fun and just pick myself. So for December, I have Chosen RobG's 1970 SS Chevelle. There has always been a place in my heart for 1970 Chevelles and this one is no exception. A beautiful car, amazingly built and moves out well on nuts for it's weight and this altitude.

November Update -- What's Happening at ColoradoMuscle.com.
Well, I (bdmorrison) have been busy with my new career choice. I decided to leave my last job in August. I've sinced started my own business doing what I know best (Computers) to keep the bills paid until I decide what it is I want to do next with my life.
Because I've been busy, I have basically had to put ColoradoMuslce on the back buner as I get things situated around here. December's Ride of the Month should be up shortly (I hope). In the past we had the members vote, but from now on, I will just choose who I like for the month. Ideally I'd like to take the Rides of the Month and make a ColoradoMuscle Calendar. But we need to do this for 12 months (duh!).
With the new year upon us, I ask the members (who read this) to give suggestions what they'd like to see/do in 2k7. We've always strived to give our members what they want, and 2k7 will probably be no different.
For those of you who may browse the site, but aren't registered members. I ask why? It's free, no obligation, etc. Why not join us and bench race or just bullshit in our Off Topic section -- we won't bite (well if you ask us to we might).
OCTOBER 2006 RIDE OF THE MONTH ANNOUNCED!
Congrats go to BowtiedZ. I have to say personally I like this car a lot. What more could you ask for? Light weight, good amount of HP, sounds like a lot of fun for me!

SEPTEMBER 2006 RIDE OF THE MONTH ANNOUNCED!
Congratulations Mr. Luos for being our first Ride of the Month. Having seen this car in person myself, it is an amazing car. Absolutely gorgeous, with nothing spared during this build. The car looks as great as it runs.

New / Updated Skin
Well I installed a new skin a while back to try and resolve a few issues we were having with the styling related to the Gallery that we have. So we went from the Default, to a black/white theme back to the default and now to Midnight Orange Theme. Seems to be fully supported accross IPB and everything seems to be working well. I uploaded our logo and changed the style sheet to reflect it.
Member's Ride of the Month
If you see below, and to the left we've been working on paying respects to our member's cars. Well my job/life situation has not allowed for a lot of time to support the board more than normal back-ups/general maintenace. So I pretty well forgot about it last month, and well we're already 2 weeks into this month. Problem we were running into last month was we had a tie, and it wasn't decided for a while later what to do in regards to a tie (being new, you don't think of this 'stuff'). So with that, it failed. I wished it hadn't, but such is life.
Expect something either VERY soon or next month.
Member's Ride of The Month
As you can see on the left, there is a section for our Member's Ride of the Month (RoTH). Think you've got what it takes? Never know. Shortly we will post up regarding more detail about the RoTH, and will have a new RoTH soon! Click Here for more information!
Keep Watching...
Since the home page is new, and we are continually making changes to the site, check back often. You never know what you might find next, and if you don't find what you're looking for, why not post up in the forums requesting it. The only way we're going to continue to grow is by contribution from our GREAT members.
Home Page Up!!
And more coming soon!! Please check back updates as Colorado Muscle continues to grow and become Colorado's Premier Online Muscle Car Community.
